Raph Donates Sewing Machine to Asante Akyem Central Treasurer Under “One Constituency, One Sewing Machine” Initiative
As part of my *One Constituency, One Sewing Machine* initiative, I had the privilege of presenting a sewing machine to Alex Nyarko, the Constituency Treasurer for Asante Akyem Central, during a visit to Konongo. This gesture is one of many steps we are taking to bring practical support directly to the grassroots.
The vision behind this initiative is to equip young people and community members with tools that translate into real economic opportunities. A sewing machine may seem small, but it has the power to launch a trade, sustain a household, and build a path to self-reliance. Skills development remains one of the most effective ways to tackle unemployment and poverty at the local level.
For me, leadership must be measured by impact, not by title. Political office should never be an end in itself. It is a platform to create access, to uplift communities, and to ensure that ordinary citizens feel the benefits of public service in their daily lives.
We cannot build a stronger Ashanti Region by making promises alone. We must invest in people — in their talents, their ambitions, and their ability to stand on their own. That is why initiatives like this focus on tangible support that empowers individuals to generate income and contribute meaningfully to their families and communities.
My commitment is to continue expanding this program across every constituency in the region. No community should be left behind when it comes to opportunity. Whether it’s vocational training, tools for trade, or mentorship, we must keep pushing for practical solutions that change lives.
Together, we can build a future where leadership is defined by service, where empowerment reaches every corner of Ashanti, and where every hardworking citizen has a fair chance to succeed. That is the standard I intend to uphold.
