Kumawu’s Pride: Papa Nantwie Festival 2026 is Here!
The Kumawu Traditional Area has officially launched the Papa Nantwie Festival 2026, a vibrant celebration of ancestral bravery, unity, and cultural identity. This momentous occasion marks a significant milestone in the community’s efforts to preserve its rich cultural heritage and pass it down to future generations.
The festival, scheduled to take place from March 3 to March 22, 2026, with the grand climax on March 15, 2026, aims to reconnect the youth with their roots and promote cultural pride.
The launch, attended by traditional leaders, dignitaries, and community members, emphasized the importance of preserving Kumawu’s cultural legacy. Paramount Chief Barima Sarfo Tweneboa Kodua highlighted the theme, “Bravery, Unity, and Identity: The Enduring Spirit of Our Ancestors,” as a reflection of the community’s strength and resilience.
He urged all stakeholders, including Nananom, elders, youth groups, women’s associations, and residents, to support the festival and work towards preserving the sanctity of the occasion.
