DCE CUTS SOD FOR EDUCATION AND HEALTHCARE FACILITIES IN AFIGYA KWABRE NORTH
The District Chief Executive for Afigya Kwabre North, Emmanuel Jackson Agumah, has officially cut the sod for the construction of a six-unit classroom block at Pampatia and a Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound at Penteng.
The groundbreaking ceremony took place during a comprehensive tour of various communities in the district, where the DCE handed over construction sites to contractors to commence work on the infrastructure projects, funded by the District Assembly’s Common Fund.
The projects are expected to improve education and healthcare in the district, providing access to quality facilities for residents. The DCE emphasized that the projects are comprehensive, with furniture, storage facilities, and office components included in the construction contract.
Contractors have been given a six-month deadline to complete the projects, with the DCE urging them to work diligently to deliver quality facilities that meet the community’s needs.
Chiefs, assembly members, and community members have been tasked with closely monitoring the progress of the construction work to ensure that contractors adhere to specifications and deliver quality workmanship.
Nana Opoku Ware III, Pampatia Hene, thanked the DCE for bringing development to the area, while residents of Pampatia and Penteng expressed their gratitude to the government and DCE for the facilities.
