KCCC Urges Ghanaians to Participate in National Day of Prayer with Clean Hearts

The Kumasi Council of Christian Churches (KCCC) has made a heartfelt appeal to all Ghanaians to participate in the 2025 National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving with clean hearts, a spirit of humility, and national unity. The event, scheduled for Tuesday, July 1, is a sacred moment of national reflection, not a political gathering.

Rev. Dr. Douglas Okonah Frimpong, General Overseer of the Center for Christian Outreach Ministries and Chairman of the Planning Committee, stressed that the event is a church service, not a political platform. He advised attendees to dress decently and avoid wearing political party colors or branded attire. “Come with a clean heart and the right spirit,” he urged.

The theme for this year’s celebration is “Reset, Reflect, and Renew for National Prosperity.” According to Rev. Dr. Frimpong, the theme encourages citizens to examine the nation’s moral and developmental journey, reset from division and conflict, and renew their commitment to peace and progress.

The event will feature a Christian service at Calvary Charismatic Centre (CCC) and an Islamic Prayer and Thanksgiving service at the Kumasi Central Mosque, showcasing the interfaith nature of the celebration.

Government representatives, including Mr. Emmanuel Opoku and Madam Henrietta Konadu, expressed support for the initiative, acknowledging the importance of divine direction, peace, and unity in the nation.

As the nation prepares for the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving, the KCCC’s message is clear: let us unite in faith, reflect on our past, and look forward to a more prosperous future together.
