EPA Boss Urges Journalists to Join Environmental Protection Efforts

The call was made during the Second Biennial Media Forum on Natural Resources, Environment, Climate Change, and Science (2nd Bim-NECS Forum), where Dr. Nyantakyi emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in environmental protection.

Environmental Protection Act 2025: Dr. Nyantakyi revealed that the EPA will need the media to educate the public about the new Environmental Protection Act 2025, which aims to protect the environment.
Environmental Protection Authority Act (Act 1124): The Act has been enacted to ensure that fragile ecosystems are protected, and Dr. Nyantakyi urged the media to deliberate on the Act to improve environmental sustainability.
Biblical Perspective: Dr. Nyantakyi drew inspiration from Psalm 24:1, which states that “the earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it,” emphasizing humans’ sacred responsibility to protect the environment.

The EPA boss called on traditional leaders and individuals to join forces with the EPA in protecting the environment. He emphasized the crucial role journalists play in shaping public opinion and influencing policy decisions on environmental protection.

Dr. Nyantakyi’s appeal highlights the importance of collaboration and collective action in protecting Ghana’s environment. By working together, we can ensure a sustainable and environmentally conscious future for all Ghanaians.
