Adams Kitchen Unveils Ghana’s First Modern Food Processing Factory

Adams Kitchen, a leading local food brand in Ghana, has officially opened the country’s first modern food processing and packaging facility, dubbed the “Adams Kitchen and Food Factory.” Located at John Agyekum Kufuor Estate in Pokukrom, Ashanti Region, the state-of-the-art facility will serve as the central hub for large-scale food production and distribution to support the company’s 11 existing branches and future outlets.

CEO Adams Alex Sparfford explained that the factory was established to meet growing demand and streamline operations. “Cooking in small kitchens can no longer meet the pressure of our orders,” he said. “We needed a powerful system that ensures hygiene, speed, and consistency—and this factory provides exactly that.”

The company is launching a “chef-sourced” recipe model, inviting chefs and food entrepreneurs to submit their own dishes for production and retail through the factory. This initiative aims to tackle the shortage of skilled chefs in Ghana’s hospitality industry. “Many hotels and restaurants are struggling due to a deficiency of trained chefs,” Sparfford noted. “We are giving them a solution—submit your recipe, we produce, and you retail. It saves energy, labor, and cost.”

AAMUSTED Pro Vice-Chancellor’s Praise
Prof. Isaac Boateng, Pro Vice-Chancellor of AAMUSTED, lauded Adams Kitchen’s entrepreneurial journey, highlighting the company’s remarkable growth from a humble food joint to a modern factory. “What we see today is an alumnus who graduated with all the training we gave him,” he said. “He started as a food joint, and today, we are happy to witness this remarkable growth.”

The opening of Adams Kitchen’s modern food processing factory marks a significant milestone in Ghana’s food industry. With its innovative business model and commitment to excellence, the company is poised to make a lasting impact on the country’s culinary landscape.
