Kumawu MP Urges Religious Groups to Continue Peaceful Coexistence

Ernest Yaw Anim, the Member of Parliament for Kumawu constituency in the Ashanti region, has commended Muslims in the area for their peaceful coexistence with other religious groups and political parties. He encouraged them to continue living in harmony, emphasizing that they share a common destiny.
Hon. Anim made these remarks while joining Muslims in the constituency to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr at Kumawu. He also donated 30 bags of rice, 10 boxes of cooking oil, 5 boxes of mackerel, and 3 cartons of Milo, along with a cash donation of GH¢10,000 to support the faithful during Ramadan.
Additionally, Hon. Anim pleaded with the Sekyere Kumawu Chief Imam, Abdul Rahim Nasirudeen Alhasan, to help resolve a dispute between two factions at Oyoko, promoting peace in the town. The Chief Imam, in turn, advised Hon. Anim to focus on leaving a lasting legacy, rather than seeking personal gain, as his tenure will eventually come to an end.
