Farmers will be giving credit facilities under my leadership – Bawumia
To effectively empower farmers in the country, Dr Mahamadu Bawumia has assured of providing credit facilities.
Dr Bawumia underscored the significance role agriculture play in the nation building hence, agriculture sector will be his focus as the leader of the country.
The NPP flagbearer remarked that, government is working on data collection of farmers which is nearly done, therefore his administration will use the data collected to fishout the genuine farmers and grant them the credit facilities.
Dr Bawumia as part of his engagement with farmers also stated that, his government will reorganize cocoa spraying programme since it’s declining.
He reiterated his focus on mechanized farming to provide mechanize centers as well to hire farmers farming equipment for their activities.
Some of the cocoa farmers after pleading for further increase in Cocoa price asked Dr Bawumia to certify chemicals they are using for their farming because most are poisonous for their production.
