Asante Akyem North: NDC Parliamentary candidate supports youth in skills training
The NDC parliamentary candidate Asante Akyem North Constituency, Chief Kofi Asamoah, has urged the youth to acquire skills to be economically independent.
This was after He organized a week-long entrepreneurial skills training for the jobless youth in the constituency.
The trainees were taught how to make Bridal fans, Local drinks, Soaps, Tin tomatoes, Brown sugar and detergent among other things.
The training also forms part of the NDC parliamentary candidate initiative to transform the constituency
Speaking to the media of the objective of the training Chief Kofi Asamoah emphasized the necessity of skills training for youth economic empowerment.
He expressed gratitude to the trainees for availing themselves for the programme and urged them to make good use of the skills acquired.
Chief Kofi Asamoah noted that, the constituency is hub of farming and He will make sure the mechanized method of farming will replace the dominated traditional farming in the area.
Some beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the aspiring MP, reassuring him that, the skills acquired would be put to good use.
They said the training would help them to establish businesses to improve their living.
The training was the first of its kind in the constituency and the beneficiaries pledged to vote Chief Kofi Asamoah to win parliamentary seat so that, He could do more to improve the lives of the youth.
