Manso Suntreso Assemblyman rewards best and longest serving teachers in Amansie West

The Assembly Member for Manso Sintreso in Manso Abore Aboum electoral area in Amansie West District of the Ashanti Region Hon Samuel Asare Brew has rewarded teachers and students in the constituency.
The Assembly member organized this award to honored the best and long-serving teachers as well as the students in the area to make improve teaching and learning geared towards enhancing the quality of education in the District.
More than 100 teachers were rewarded with Gas cooking cylinders, however, 15 most outstanding teachers were added 32-inches digital television sets.
Ms. Manuela Osei Kuffour was awarded as the best KG teacher, Mr Emmanuel Acheampong was also honored as the best JHS headteacher whilst Madam Comfort Opoku Agyeman also awarded as the best primary headteacher in the District.
The following teachers, Mr. Oppong Yeboah, Mr. John Manu, and Mr. John Frimpong Manso honored as the longest-serving teachers in Amansie West District.
On the part of the students, eight BECE best students also received GHS 1000 each as financial support to assist their studies in senior high school.
Explaining the objective of the awards to the media, Hon Samuel Asare Brew stated that, the Amansie West is the hub of mining therefore most students prefer visiting the mining sitohan school, so his maiden awards to teachers and students will make education attractive in the area.
He stated that, among other presentation of the awards forms part of his appreciation for the enormous contribution of the teachers to enhance education in the District.
Hon Samuel Asare Brew pledged his continuous support to improve quality education in the area.
The beneficiary’s teachers for their side commended the assembly member for his effort to ameliorate teaching and learning in the area.
They pleaded with the government to assist schools in the area with infrastructure, teaching materials, and teachers’ bungalows.
According to them, the cost of accommodation is expensive in the area, hence, if the government is assisting them with teachers’ quarters it will comfort their living to give their best for quality education in the area.
