Sekyere Kumawu MP Brightens Communities, Supports Clinics And Mosque

The Member of Parliament for Sekyere Kumawu, Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim, has kicked off a constituency-wide tour with a package of donations aimed at improving security, healthcare and education delivery in the area.

The tour took the MP to several communities where he engaged residents, listened to their concerns, and handed over essential items to support daily life and public services.

Hon. Anim donated streetlights to Bomeng, Dadease, and Kumawu to brighten dark areas and improve safety.
“Darkness shouldn’t stop our people from doing business or moving safely at night. These lights are to help our traders, students and families feel secure,” he told the media.

To strengthen healthcare, the MP presented hospital materials, PPEs, and laptops to CHPS compounds and clinics across the constituency.
The equipment is expected to improve record-keeping, infection prevention, and general service delivery at the community health centers.

The MP also donated GH¢5,000 to Dadease Mosque to support ongoing renovation works.

“My goal is simple: every community and every individual in Sekyere Kumawu must feel the impact of development during my tenure,” Hon. Anim stated.

The District Health Director, Mr. Bismark Amankwa, who joined the engagement, used the opportunity to appeal for more government and stakeholder support for the health sector.

He called for the upgrading of existing CHPS compounds to health centers to match the district’s growing population and improve access to quality care.

He also urged authorities to upgrade the Sekyere Clinic to a polyclinic so it can serve as a referral centre and bring specialized care closer to residents.

Residents who received the items expressed appreciation and pledged to maintain them. Many described the MP’s visit as timely and people-centered.

The constituency tour continues in the coming days with more engagements and support activities planned across Sekyere Kumawu.
