Hon. Bryan Acheampong, Member of Parliament for Abetifi constituency, has demonstrated his commitment to supporting the victims of the Adum-Blue Light fire outbreak. On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, he visited the affected area and donated GH₵300,000 to the most affected traders. This gesture is a testament to his compassion and dedication to helping those in need.

In addition to the cash donation, Hon. Acheampong pledged to rebuild a 2-storey building with over 200 shops that was destroyed in the fire. However, he emphasized that he will only proceed with the rebuilding project if permitted by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. He plans to engage with the Ashanti Regional Minister and the City Mayor of Kumasi to facilitate the project.

This thoughtful suggestion demonstrates his understanding of the needs of the traders and his willingness to provide meaningful support.

In a separate gesture, Hon. Acheampong donated GH₵500,000 to victims of the Kantamanto fire disaster, further showcasing his commitment to helping those affected by disasters.

Hon. Bryan Acheampong’s actions demonstrate his compassion and commitment to supporting those in need. His pledge to rebuild the 2-storey structure and provide additional support to affected traders is a significant step towards revitalizing the Adum market.
