MTN Ghana supports 140 SME’s with GHS 1.3 million to scale up thei business

140 Ghanaians who are into small and Medium enterprises have been benefited from GHS 1.3 million MTN Ghana Economic Empowerment project.

The project is five years initiative by the MTN foundation aimed at helping the SME’s owners to scale up their enterprises.

The project is assisting SME’s in Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi only for the first phase. 27 out of the 140 beneficiaries are from Ashanti.

Speaking to the media, Madam Cythia Mills, empowerment adviser of MTN Ghana said the financial assistance to the SME’s is interest free and also the beneficiaries have first two months as grace period hence they will start paying it next year.

Since they have monitoring team to do a follow up she was confident that the financial assistance they are giving to them will be used for it intended purpose.

Some of the beneficiaries who could not hide their joy for the financial assistance commended MTN Ghana for the support.

They pledged to utilise it for their own welfare and pay it back when the time is due.
